Why information is used

  • Create, verify and maintain customer or merchant accounts.
  • Assess applications, affordability and transaction eligibility.
  • Process payments, schedules, refunds and support requests.
  • Prevent fraud, secure accounts, meet legal obligations and improve service.
  • Send operational messages and optional promotions according to settings and applicable consent.

Sharing and retention

The published Privacy Policy says CanPay does not sell personal data. Information may be shared with service providers, payment partners, regulators or legal authorities where necessary and lawful. Records are retained for service, financial, dispute and legal needs; the policy currently describes typical retention of up to six years after account closure unless a longer period is required.

Your rights

You may ask to access or correct personal information and may request deletion where the law and CanPay’s legal obligations permit it. Use an official support channel; identity verification is required before an account-specific disclosure or change. Read the full Privacy Policy for controlling terms.
