Order status and tracking

Order history separates payment status from merchant fulfilment stages such as pending, accepted, preparing, ready and completed.

Fulfilment stages

  • Pending: the order has been created and is awaiting the merchant’s next action.
  • Accepted: the merchant has accepted the order.
  • Preparing: the merchant is preparing the product or service.
  • Ready: the order is ready for the next fulfilment step, such as collection or delivery.
  • Completed: the merchant marked fulfilment as complete.
  • Canceled: the order tracking record has been canceled.

Payment status is separate

An order can be fulfilled while later instalments remain unpaid. Order detail therefore shows both fulfilment and payment information: totals, amount paid, balance, payment state and whether payment is pending after delivery.

If tracking appears wrong

Contact the merchant first about preparation, collection or delivery. Contact CanPay support when the CanPay status does not match a confirmed merchant action, and include the order number.
